A young man grows up in a village in the far North, where the long lines of history are everything. Nobody talks about the age-old conflict in the road association, but everyone knows what side your family was on. On his own, almost as a secret, he discovers literature. The allure of the written word leads him all the way down to the cultural world of the big city. Only to find that the cultural elite is also a village, with loyalties and old conflicts everywhere.

Your Will Is In The Woods is a story about forests, villages and a search for where you belong.

Mattias Timander (born 1998) grew up in Kiruna, in the most northern part of Sweden. He works as a cultural writer for literary journals, and also a contributor in Swedish Radio. This is his debut novel.
